Report for 2021.2022 on behalf of The Trustees for submission to The Charity Commlsslon. IINAYifJr . Membership Membership increased to 16 (inc 2 priv) during the period, however Derrick (Priv) has decided not to renew his membership. We are most grateful to him for his many years of dedicated service. Fundraisingg events and awards Over this period the Club has made considerable efforts to get our fundraising events back Into action after the restrictions of the Covid pandemic. We have been able to hold our main annual fvndraising events including The Golf Day, 10k Run (twice) and The Fun SwirrL. We held a quiz night and also "Summerfesf on The Great Field which was designed to be a community event centered on Children and offering a showcase for local charities - it went down well. The Easter Egg Raffle was not held again this year, due to the risk of anoth8r loss rf COVID restrictions should be imposed once more. The 100 dub made a £500 donation to the Charity Account once more. Community. We have re-established contsct with parts of the community. We have kept our promise to the Primary Care Trust to help The Great Field Parkrun get estsblished. We introduced ROAR into The Prince of Wales sch0ol,he￿ed decorate a classroom and sponsor a production . We have taken Message in a bottle to a k)cal care forum. We were able to resume our Christmas Collections and collected £851 outside Tesco. We have again provided a total of five annual awards to pupils at four local schools who have given exceptional service to their communty, and this year we also managed to attend end of year assemblies and present the awards ourselves at the 3 Middle Schools. We have made £6731 worth of donations to support amongst others Mytime young carers, The Child Contsct Centre, Dorchester Middle School, Keep 106, Longmead Community Farm, Foodshare Foodbank, Mencap Local, Martinstown Scouts,Town Council Tree Planting Stheme, and Lions Refugee Appeal for Ukraine. We paid for a bed for a young woman just leaving council care, and for specialist counsellng for a local ex soldier suffering from PTSD. We continue our annual donation to Lions Clubs Intemational disaster fund. Publlcity The Club continues to attempt to make good use of social media, local press, and a new voluntsry run local radio station. The Club produces a publication called Lions Tales twice a year for local circulation. Notcpaper kindly sponsored by Dorchester Timber Ltd
