**Activities:** The advancement of science (engineering) for the public benefit (1) bringing together engineers in Great Britain to safeguard their  common interest and to encourage technical interchange, in particular but not limited to interchange between Sweden and Great Britain; and (2) to grant scholarships to engineering students.
