activities, projects or

1.19|The LIFE Community continues to be a
faithful and prayerful presence at Pippins
Community Centre. We are small in
number yet big in heart and are part of the
undergirding of centre life at Pippins in
prayer – we take this role very seriously
and a number of us ‘dwell’ at Pippins
through the week. We continue to enjoy
our monthly rhythm which includes,
creative worship gatherings, LIFE Groups
and First Friday Feasts a creative
gathering for young families.
We continue to cook together, eat together,
pray together and discover God together.
We have enjoyed using the Discover Bible
App for our gatherings and been
challenged by 3/3rds method of Looking
Back, Looking Up and Looking Forwards…
it has been a simple yet powerful way for
us to grow as Disciples and moved us on
from ‘what’ to think, to ‘how’ to think and to
notice more what God is up to in our midst.
We have strong links and partnership
working with our local denominational
church families and local Clergy. We have a
joint Open The Book Team with Axminster
URC who have enjoyed a new growing
relationship with Axminster Primary
Academy. We have also enjoyed our joint
Youth Discipleship Group with Kilmington
Baptist Church.
We have really enjoyed transitioning all of
our outdoor space this year into a large
Community Garden. This has been a
fantastic season for centre life and we are
hugely grateful for the Stronger Together
grant that we received in order for our
Community Garden Team to carry out the
work and for many of our Pippins User
Groups to enjoy our beautiful outdoor
space. We are looking forward to the
summer months when we can meet around
our fire pit once again.|

**Pippins continues to be a safe place for**
**many and it’s amazing that we are all a**
**part of that.**
**We are enjoying the Discover app and a**
**3/3rds method of Bible study whereby**
**we spend time looking back, looking up**
**and looking forwards. We feel**
**encouraged to ‘notice’ more and more**
**what God is up to in the places that we**
**each dwell.**
**We continue to enjoy hosting our young**
**families for First Friday Feast and it has**
**been a real joy to see young lives grow**
**in the creative ways that they each pray.**
**We have a joint Open The Book Team**
**with our friends from the United Reform**
**Church that regularly visit Axminster**
**Primary Academy which is brilliant. The**
**Head Teacher tells us that the children**
**love it!**
**Our cooking together and eating**
**together and discovering our faith in**
**Jesus together continues to forge deep**
**friendships here which are very**
**precious.**

## **Financial Review**

financial position at the end
of the period|Para 1.21|This is the 1styear in which the charity has
operated solely as a church. At the
beginning of the year, when Pippins
commenced operating as it’s own charity,
we transferred its own funds of £3,846 to it.
These are reported as donations made.
The church has a small membership which
donates to the charity on a monthly basis.
Other donations and grants were received
from a local Baptist church and the South
West Baptist Association. We also receive a
contribution from the new Pippins charity
towards the stipend paid to our minister.
The other operational costs are very low.
For this year we are very grateful for all the
support we have received which enabled
the charity to generate a surplus for the
year (excluding the donations to Pippins of
£977. This has enabled us to build our
reserves to be in line with the reserves
policy with £5,575 held in the charity bank
account.|
