Brief statement of the

charity’s policy on reserves

DURING THE PERIOD, THE CHARTY SECURED INCOME OF £85,940 AND EXPENDED £168,751. THE MAIN EXPENDITURE BEING LOAN REPAYMENTS, WAGES, PROPERTY REPAIRS AND UTILITY COSTS. DURING THE YEAR, THE CHARITY RAISED INTEREST FREE LOANS TO REPAY SOME LOANS AND IN TOTAL PAID BACK £123,000 IN LOANS DURING THE PERIOD. THE TOTAL LOANS OWED BY THE CHARITY AT THE END OF THE PERIOD WAS £233,500. THE CHARITY GENERATED A DEFICIT NET OF ASSETS AND LIABILITIES OF £70,811 DURING THE YEAR. THIS WAS OFFSET WITH PRIOR YEAR SURPLUSES. AT THE END OF THE PERIOD THE CHARITY HAD UNRESTRICTED RESERVES OF £9,755 AND NO RESTRICTED RESERVES. THERE IS NO POLICY TO RETAIN RESERVES IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE AMOUNT WHICH HAS BEEN SET FOR FUTURE CHARITABLE EXPENDITURE.
