the provision of counselling and support in such parts of the United

NEW LIFE CHURCH
1. Weekly public church rrEetings have been held, ￿th provision for
children as VEII as adults. These meetings have been broadcast via
YouTube to a wMJer audien￿ as V￿11 as those nomial attenders unable
to partiapate.
2. Mid-week small group rrEetings ha* been run in four locations, one in
Nevoort. and three in Cardiff.
3_ The senior elder of New Life Churth has been supported financially.
4. Provision for chiklren of the local community has been provided by
Y￿e￿y evening Big Fish kids, dub and scFK)ol holiday clubs.
5. Wee￿Y mum's and toddlers sessions have been run duriNJ school
germ ts"me.
6. The churth has supported the Starfish KIDS Club. an annual ￿tek
aYRy for looked-after chiklren.
7. Christrnas gift shceboxes ￿Ere filled and sent to disadvantaged
children as part of the annual nab.onal Sarnaritan's Purse initiative.
8. Evangelical outreaches and sthool assembly Y￿rf( by OAC has been
supported.
g. Relationships wtlh other churthes have been fostered Ihrough
membership of the SoLrth East Waks New Cymru regional nelwork
and the Evangelical Allan￿.
10. Suitable rented premises have being maintained in FaiThvater Cardiff
as a base for sermng the local (￿mMunIty.
11. Local elderly residents have been kept in contact via telephone and
sits.
12. Training sessions in Safeguarding have been held for all church
members interacting with children and vulnerable adults.

THE BERESFORD CENTRE
13 The Beresford Centre has. oNEr 32 years. offered counselling help
aThl support lo vfftn. men aThJ familEs suffering distress related to
unexpected pregnancy, temiination, baby loss. traumatic birth and cot
death, by fa￿-tfrface and social nEdia ￿eans.70 new clients were seen
during the year.
14. The counsellors have been regulaty supervised in order to ensure
ongoing good practi￿, support and developffEnt and to protect dients

strerythen provision of the Servi￿ and further online counselling.
22. The Centre has used a National Lottery grant to provide a laptop for
eath counsellor which also supports moves towards a papedess
operation.
All Ihe acknvities of NEW LIFE CHURCH are run by volunteers, apart from
the Leading Elder role.

1. Standards of good behayiour and the achievement of sound. loving
interpersonal relationships and personal ￿Ell-being have been
consistenlly taught and encouraged; people wÉth personal problems have
been confidentialty counselled and supported.
2. Local cotnmunty needs have been identified and met by prowsion for
chikJren, the elderly and the disadrdntaged.
3. Schools. Religious Education provision has been SUPPDrted.

members ha￿ been helped to reach their own best decisions in
silualions of pregnancy crisis.. those experiencing grief and trauma
assoryated baby loss. termination or difficult births, to work through
their experien￿$ and reath a better adjustment for their lives.
5. The Servi￿ has prowded hdp and support beyond what slatulory
agenues can give ￿ryth ttEir limited reSoUr￿S {for example. in cases of
baby loss. counselling support may be needed weekty for several
months)
6. The Centre has established g¢x#J relations wth statutory aThJ other
agenC￿S in the area, and ￿￿1￿S referrals from midwves, health
visitors, G.P.s, menlal health nurses, social workers, probation service,
women's refuge ar)d others
7. Regional capability to provide help in pregnancy related issues has
been enhanced through sUPPOrt for Counselling Centres from the 4
related Centres in Wales, in Wrexham, Swansea. BridgerKI and Cardiff.
8. Personal V￿rkbookS have promded help for clients unable to engage
V￿th f8￿10-￿dce counselling or to support on-line inlervEws.
9. A programrrE of digitising all records has been initiated whith will
further secufe pers￿al inf(Mation in line thfjth GDPR requirements.

accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011

I report in respect of my examination of Ihe Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 14515){b} of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material malters have

cause to believe that in, any malerial respect:
