**Objects:** TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT FOOT HEALTH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: -• RAISING AWARENESS OF THE NEED FOR FOOTWEAR TO BE CORRECTLY FITTED AND THE BENEFITS OF PROFESSIONALSHOE FITTING THROUGH THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION, INFORMATION AND THE PROMOTION OF PROFESSIONALSHOE FITTERS AND THEIR WORK;• ENSURING THAT ACCESS TO PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED SHOE FITTERS IS AVAILABLE TO ALL;• ENSURING THAT PROFESSIONAL SHOE FITTERS ARE APPROPRIATELY TRAINED AND MAINTAIN HIGH STANDARDS OFCURRENT KNOWLEDGE, PROFESSIONALISM AND PRACTICE AT ALL TIMES.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICHARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].

**Activities:** To assist and educate the public about the importance of correct shoe fitting in relation to health and well-being.  Professional training is provided to the footwear industry which raises funds to provide a free helpline, foot health education material, website and national shoe fitting week promotion.  Our aim and objective is to ensure a shoe fitting service remains available to the public.
