However we hLd never tried to actively recn]it such resource. By highlighting the rewarding nature of volynteering forInTide kniice as a ¢as¢worker. in th¢ newsl¢tter publish¢d by an aSlation for retired police offi¢er5, well over 20 applications receiyed. Of these over 2 dozen were recrnited as voluniret ca$¢wotr5 c1enCing work in mid August. Within six weeks, through their enthusiastic and thorough approac this hishty motivated team cleared the backlog. In additÉon within this backlog of c&8es they idelltifi a few that were worthy of progressing to the next stsg¢.
