my ¢Xami[￿tIOn I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5Xb) of
the Act.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
BASIS ofprep8ring the fi￿9￿ClaI st*tements
The financial statemet]ts of the charity, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepaTed in
accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of
ReCo￿￿ended Practice applicable to charities preparing iheir a¢¢ounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and R¢public of Ireland (FRS 102) (eff¢¢tive l January 2019),,
Fitwicial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republic of
Ir¢land' and the Charities Act 2011. The fmancial statements have been prepared under the historical ¢osl
convention.
Income
All income is recognis¢d in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitl¢m¢nt to the fimds, it
is probabl¢ that the income will be received and tb¢ amount can be measur¢d reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilities are re¢ognised &8 expendfftture as s(N)n as there is a legal or constru¢tiv¢ obligation ¢ommitting the
charity to that expenditur¢, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and
the amount of the obligation can be measured reliabty. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has
been classified under headings that aggregate all rost related to ihe category. Where costs cannot be directly
attributed to particulaT headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consi5tenl with the use of
resources.
