To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Abercynon and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for children up to the age of eleven and their family/carers who have need of such facilities by reason of their age in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants

The Charity’s main activity is the management of the Abercynon War memorial paddling pool the pool will be open for up to six weeks during the summer school holidays during the time is open children and their families enjoyed the pool free of charge.
Throughout the year the Charity has when exercising their powers or duties had regard to the Charity Commissions public benefit guidance when that guidance was relevant

The Board is entirely made up of volunteers as are the pool attendants etc., all the volunteers have had the relevant training to be able to carry out their duties, and all have been the subject of the relevant DBS checks There were excluding the Board up to 15 volunteers the number varied as the pool opened and closed after the Summer School Holiday
