The charitable objectives of the CIO are as follows: 

   - To support the educational and career aspirations of creative young

   - To support environmental and conservation initiatives, especially those relating to the marine environment 

   - To support socially disadvantaged individuals and families

**Summary of the main** Following the difficult market conditions in 2022/23, the trustees decided **achievements of the charity** to adopt a conservative approach and maintain total grant awards at the **during the year** same level as over the preceding year. The strong performance of the Trust portfolio after the grants were distributed in February 2024 has placed the charity in a favourable financial position at the year end. It was agreed that the annual donations in support of disadvantaged young people and adults should again be increased, reflecting the Trustees’ continued confidence in the excellent work that these charities are doing under difficult conditions. The smaller donations were made in response to particular needs identified by the Trustees.
