ASSEMBLIES OF PENTECOSTAL METHODISTS

REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 10TH OCTOBER 2025

The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 10th October 2025. In this report, the trustees have adopted the Charity Commission template for the preparation of annual reports for small charities (SORP FRS 102).

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Objectives

The purpose of the Charity is to advance the Christian faith for the public benefit in the UK. The strategy to achieve this objective is mainly, but not exclusively, through:

vi. Carrying out missionary and outreach work.

Summary of Main Activities

The Charity is organised into branches based on geographical areas in England which has national reach and draws membership from the branches along the protected characteristics of anyone (or combination) of gender, age, and vocation. For the year under review, the main activity of the charity was severely curtailed by CIVID-19 as this happened just as we were setting up the Charity.

Public benefit

The trustees of Assemblies of Pentecostal Methodists confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at all relevant times.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

The charity experienced significant operational challenges following the COVID-19 pandemic. During and after the pandemic period, our congregation and leadership structures were severely affected, resulting in the suspension of many of our charitable activities. As a consequence, the charity was unable to operate at its normal capacity and was not in a position to effectively manage its administrative and reporting obligations.

Income

Throughout this period, the charity had very limited activity and no significant financial transactions. At the date of this report, the charity holds funds of £0.00 and has not been actively conducting the programmes and activities for which it was originally established. The trustees acknowledge that, despite these challenges, the charity remained under an obligation to file its reports and returns on time. We sincerely apologise for this failure and accept responsibility for the delay.

Expenditure

Total expenditure for the year was £0.00.

Reserves

There are no reserves for the year under review.

Governance and Leadership Changes

As part of the charity's governance renewal process, the trustees have appointed Pastor Audrey Mapfumo as Chairperson to lead the organisation's strategic development and future growth. Mr Hillary Tinashe Musadavira has also been appointed to support the leadership and governance of the charity, while Mr Winford has formally stepped down from his position. The trustees express their gratitude to Mr Winford for his contribution and service to the organisation.

The trustees are committed to strengthening governance arrangements, improving compliance processes, and ensuring that all future reporting obligations are met within the required deadlines.

Current Position

The charity is currently in a rebuilding phase. While activities have been limited in recent years, the trustees remain committed to advancing the charity's charitable objectives and serving our beneficiaries. The organisation remains operational as a registered charity and intends to resume its activities in a structured and sustainable manner.

Future Recovery and Development Plan

The trustees have agreed the following action plan:

1. Governance and Compliance

2. Re-engagement with Members and Beneficiaries

3. Resumption of Charitable Activities

5. Leadership Development

Going concern

We are of the opinion that the financial statements should continue to be prepared on the basis that the charity is a going concern for the next 12 months. We have taken into consideration the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the general operations of the charity.

Conclusion

The trustees regret the delay in fulfilling the charity's reporting obligations and respectfully request that the Charity Commission take into consideration the exceptional circumstances arising from the pandemic and its aftermath. The Board is fully committed to restoring compliance, rebuilding the organisation, and ensuring that the charity can once again fulfil its charitable purposes effectively.

We appreciate the Commission's understanding and assure you of our commitment to good governance and future compliance.
