The charity is a member of the Sea Safety Group, an association of
iThJeperLdent Coastal surveillan￿ Slations. whose purFose is to interface
th the Maritime arKJ Coastguard Agency on behatf of the association
members.
The thanty promdes support to Searth and Res(we servlces and other
emergency ser¥ic8S.
The charity's major risks are its annual running ￿Sts. which are relativety
small and currenty funded from public donations. and maintaining
adequale volunteer watchkeeper numbers in order to provlde expected
levels of service. The trustees regularfy review sources of income to
ensure they cx)ver ex[￿ded costs and wn reuuitm8nt campaigns when
necessary.

The charity Is a Coastal Suprfeillance Statton that provides assistance In
the protection and presemtion of the lives and property of people at sea
or along the Coas￿lne. wthin the visible range of the Watch StaUon. 11
operales with trained volunteer5 who maintain a visual lookout and
maritime radio listening watch and provide support to Search and Rescu8
services by assistbng and reporting d￿r￿lY to HM Coasiguard.
To achleve this. Ihe charity.
(a) operates a Msual I￿kout, during the hours of daylight. for any signs of
persons or vessels in danger or distress and to advise the Search and
Rescue seprfices of such inad8nts

wothng on a regular weekty rota system. It has no paid employees.
To assist with fun&rdising, there rs also an adp￿ group of volunteers
known as the"Friends of Pakefield Coasiwatch..
In order to pres8iv8 the charit￿$ limited fuTrJs, rf th8 requlred sknlls are
available wilhin the volunteer forcé these will be utilised for the
