This has been a long term project, with the mineral excavation expected to be finally completed around the end of 2026, and only then will its development for sport and recreation become possible. Throughout the period of excavation, however, the Trust has collaborated with the landowners and other parties in the planning of the eventual facilities, and will continue to do so as the further development of the lake continues.
