||SORP
reference||
|---|---|---|
|Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.|Para 1.20|The charity’s current primary activity involves
developing educational Islamic mobile
applications and disseminating them to the
public, worldwide, for free.
2021 has been a challenging year for many
due to the pandemic and rising inflation.
However, by the grace of The Almighty, we
have made some exemplary achievements.
We focused mainly on team building,
foundation, and stability. From expanding our
team to making our software better for our
large worldwide user base, 2021 has been
busy at Greentech Apps Foundation.
**Key milestones for 2021:**
With a solid team in place, 2021 has been
the time for growth. We have implemented a
number of long-requested features and
solved some of the most critical issues for
our users. At the same time, we have made
huge strides in a number of areas, for
example, we have a new improved website
with a better support page, utilized our own
backend infrastructure for the sync
mechanism of user generated data such as
bookmarks and notes, and made our apps
available on more platforms.
●
Improved User Experience
We always put the user experience at the
top of our priority list. We made significant
improvements in several features of the
Quran app for our valued user base.
Likewise, we conducted specific research to
identify the most important features to work
on for 2021 and settled on the Library
(bookmarks and notes) and the Planner
features of the Quran app to be improved.
We made the user flows smoother, less
complicated and improved the overall design
of these features. While improving these
features, we considered requests from both
our newer and long-term users.|

For our Deen Quiz app, we have listened to our users and brought the long-requested offline feature and English language mode to the app. ● Improved website In order to ensure a high quality user experience across all our applications, we strive to listen to the user feedback. With that in mind, we revamped our existing website. The Help & Support section and the Contact sections were updated to make sure users can seek any help they need and can provide us feedback through an easy, streamlined process. We also improved the design of the website, search experience and overall performance. At the same time, we upgraded the Donation section for users to find relevant information faster before making their donation. ● New announcement section Our apps now have a dedicated announcement section so that users can receive all the latest news, updates and notifications inside the app. ● User Profile and Library Sync We have built a user profile system into our Quran application. The users will be able to sign up, and sync their bookmarks and notes and do not have to worry about losing them. Users can also sync their data across multiple devices. We have made several changes to our backend server infrastructure to allow for upcoming community-engaging features. ● Reaching More Platforms To facilitate our goal of making our apps available in more platforms, we have launched our Quran app on macOS. Users can now run the Quran app on Apple Mac devices.

||Also, we have released our Hadith collection
app for iOS and macOS users with full
functionality, previously it had limited
features.
●
Other Notable Mentions
We have added a number of new
translations of the Quran (of different
languages) and new reciters. This will make
understanding of the Quran accessible to
users from a variety of languages.
We also have added the “Compare Isnad
(chains of narration)” feature in the Hadith
Collection app. This is an advanced feature
that will help students of Hadith to easily
compare the chains of narration of the
various Hadith.
**Goals for 2022:**
●
Being more organised
We will strive to keep on improving our
organisational structure and processes. The
focus will be on having a visual scorecard for
our KPIs. This will enable us to keep a bird's
eye view of the key metrics.
We will plan training modules for staff,
individual career ladders, and hackathons to
increase engagement.
●
Hearing more from the users and
solving their problems
We can only solve the problems that we are
aware of, and users are best suited to
identify issues in our products.
the best people to find the problems of the
products are the users of them. We are
planning to further improve the user
feedback process by incorporating a
dedicated Customer Relationship
Management tool. This will make it easier for
users to share their problems and ideas.|
|---|---|

● User stats for more engagement Our Quran app will have a new feature related to reading analytics. When a user sees how much s/he has engaged with the app and how much they have benefited, they will be motivated to utilise the application even more. This will help them develop a learning habit. ● Solving new problems Next year we are set to bring a brand new Seerah (history) application for the people. At the same time, we are planning to tackle some new issues, such as improving the search experience and making the Hadith app more intuitive by presenting interconnections between different Hadith. We are looking forward to improving our products and processes to better cater for our large, loyal user base.
