## **Achievements and Performance**

||SORP
reference||
|---|---|---|
|Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.|Para 1.20|The charity’s current primary activity involves
developing educational Islamic mobile
applications and disseminating them to the
public, worldwide, for free.
2020 has been a challenging year for many
due to the pandemic. However, by the grace
of The Almighty, we have made some
exemplary achievements. We focused
mainly on team building, foundation, and
stability. From expanding our team to making
our software better for our large worldwide
user base, 2020 has been busy at
Greentech Apps Foundation.
**Key milestones for 2020:**
**1. Team building and process formation**
Since the beginning of our journey since
2015, we have been working on building the
products and providing the users with the
best set of features and best possible
experience. Now that we have a large user
base to support, we decided to scale the
team up with a vision to achieve a bigger
goal, “Meeting Ummah’s Digital Needs”.
Before April 2020, we had only one full-time
and one part-time developer along with the
core members and volunteers. To keep up
with the maintenance of the applications and
achieve our organization's global vision, we
decided to scale up.
We have recruited 5 full-time and 3 part-time
technical personnel to support our existing
projects.
We have also introduced Agile project
management methodology to better manage
our team and multiple software projects.
Furthermore, we are using social media
platforms to reach more people worldwide.
We have also introduced a ticketing system
for better user support.
**2. Support more platforms**
Previously, we have been mostly focusing on
the Android platform for our mobile
applications, having 10 applications in the
Google Play Store but only 2 for the Apple
App Store. Due to popular demand, we have
decided to increase our offering for the Apple
App Store.|

In 2020, we released 2 more applications in the Apple App Store for iOS users and 1 application for macOS users. For the Apple App Store, most of our users are based in Malaysia, followed by the United States and the United Kingdom. **3. Improving user experience** We have focused on seamless user experience and have been able to reduce the crash rates significantly. We also solved numerous user experience issues, further improving the quality of our applications. We have also focused on the design of our applications, by introducing modern user interface designs. **4. Growing more and more** In line with popular user requests, we have released a new application that aids memorization of the Quran for the android platform. There has been an unmet user demand in this area, and we are really pleased to offer this high quality application for free, for the worldwide user base. By the end of 2020, our applications were installed on more than 1 million devices, spreading across 150 countries. The top 10 countries in terms of user base are: Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Nigeria, United Kingdom, USA, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore. We are committed to support more languages, to reach more users and to make Islamic educational software accessible to the masses. In the coming years, we will be focusing on making our applications suitable for neurodiverse users and for people with disabilities.
