During the period under review, Kwinella Diaspora Association undertook a lot of activities in Kwinella the Gambia which includes but not limited to participating in the water project where the charity teamed up with partner associations on the ground to implement and address the water shortage situation in the village.
Kwinella Diaspora Association has also donated £300 to Tressor Women Warriors, sent 22 tables and chairs and started building 75 tables and chairs for the Kwinella Primary School.

Section D Achievements and erformance p The main achievement of the association for the year under review is the Summary of the main successful implementation of water project in partnership with Tressor achievements of the charity Women Warriors, Silo Diyala Foundation and some citizens of Kwinella during the year who also contributed their money towards addressing the water shortage situation in the Village. We have also achieved through Tressor Women Warriors the creation of a seed bank to enable women farmers to have access to seeds during rainy season.

The association’s main source of funding is through the monthly £5 contributions by members of the association and volunteers. There are strategies in place to raise awareness about the association and also expand fundraising activities to maximise revenue. This led to the successful creation of a GoFundMe account through Silo Diyala Foundation specifically to address the acute shortage of tables and chairs at the Kwinella Primary School.
By addressing the water situation, this has led to a considerable reduction in the time women took to fetch water and address the hygiene needs of their various families.
