  1. THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONG MIGRANTS WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED ON GROUNDS OF THEIR ETHNIC ORIGIN, RELIGION, BELIEVE OR CREED OR THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC POSITION TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SUCH

PEOPLE AND ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING: A) ADVOCACY, INFORMATION AND ADVICE; B) EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND SUPPORT WITH LITERACY AND NUMERACY; C) RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND EVENTS INVOLVING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY 3. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY, CULTURE AND TRADITIONS OF GAMBIA BY ORGANISING EVENTS 4. TO RELIEF OF POVERTY AND FINANCIAL HARDSHIP FOR PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY OF KWINELLA IN THE GAMBIA BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION (INCLUDING PHYSICAL EDUCATION), TRAINING AND HEALTHCARE PROJECTS IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT. During the period under review, Kwinella Diaspora Association undertook a lot of activities in Kwinella the Gambia which includes but not limited to participating in the Solar Street Light project where the charity teamed up with partner associations on the ground to implement street lighting in the village. Kwinella Diaspora Association has also provided 45 bags of sugar for the communities of Nyakund, Sansangkono and Bumari to ease the burden of feeding during Ramadan.

Section D Achievements and erformance p The main achievement of the association is the striking of partnership Summary of the main with Tressor Women Warriors of Kwinella. The Tressor Women Warriors achievements of the charity is a visionary community organisation that works particularly with women during the year to empower them, support them, build capacities and guide them financial independence. Our partnership has seen the successful launch of a vegetable garden where women grow vegetables, eat and sell them and recycle profits.

The association’s main source of funding is through the monthly £5 contributions by members of the association and volunteers. There are strategies in place to raise awareness about the association and also expand fundraising activities to maximise revenue.

By providing sugar during Ramadan, this has made life reasonably easier for most of the people in the community of Kwinella and it was hugely appreciated.
