Charity Address: 9 Brockenhurst Drive, Harwood, Bolton, BL2 4HP

Structure: According to Charity Commission (See separate document for details on structure, policy, trustee recruitment, etc.)

LEARN has continued to support Shree Gyanjyoti School, supplementing the school’s own budget with funding for scholarships, uniforms and other equipment for low caste children. The school has continued to go from strength to strength and has again achieved very well academically in comparison with other schools in the area.

Income from the sale of goods and talks has still not recovered from pre-pandemic times but, fortunately, donations have improved, especially in the pre-Christmas season. There have also been some special fundraising events, and we were able to complete the year with a loss of only £100.

As a result of the substantial legacy received in 2018, we are in a favourable position financially. The bulk of this money is kept in a separate savings account and will be called upon when deemed necessary by the trustees to supplement the ‘normal’ income of the charity.

Prepared by: Michael Hawksworth (Treasurer) and Alison Davies (Secretary) 10/06/2025.
