The Bristol Knee Charity to continued to function in 2023. It collects donations to knee research in the Bristol area and funds donations mainly to the Southmead Hospital Charity, who then fund the salaries of the North Bristol NHS employees who collect data and arrange studies in the clinical setting of North Bristol NHS Trust related to knee surgery.

2023 marked a change in funding with more of the salaries being funded by network payments and direct grants into North Bristol NHS Trust research department.
