The preservation and protection of good health for the public
benefit primarily in Rwika, Kenya, in particular but not exclusively
through the provision of a medical centre and the provision of
appropriate free medical care and health education.

The UK Trustees had regular meetings and agreed to meet on a monthly
basis to get the building finished and opened.
Discussions wtih Kenyan Trustees and the Chair also spent some time in
Kenya arranging local support from the authorities. A licence for the
centre was approved.

The bullding centre was opened in July with an opening ceremony
attended by the local community and guests.
A Project Manager has identified to start work in 2021 when he
retires from his P¢)sition as the village's Head Teacher, this will make
marked difference to how quickly things can get done. He is also
cUentlY on the Kenyan Board of Trustees and has been involved with
the project Sin rts inception.
Fundraising has continued with a company organising a sponsored bike
rid8 to raise funds and awareness about the project with over £5000
raised. Other fundraising continues through local links arKI onlin8.

Progress was made with public health offiGers visiting the site to give
some pradical advi. Adaptations will be made to plans a¢rdIng1Y.
The Kenyan trustees modelled the operating costs for the centre this out
and it will be £800 per month from February 2021 when staff are tsken
on.
Effective systèms have been put in pla to transfer money each month
when it is necessary.
The website and social media pages are kept up to date with regular
photos and videos being sent fomi the site.

Two grants from UK Trusts were applied for but were unsuccessful due
to the centre being too new. Once we have been open for a full year we
shall apply to trusts and foundations for funding to support the next phase
of the building.
