Trustees Report for the year to 31/12/2024.
2024 – We successfully continued with our ethos of providing a profitable (to the extent of £5K+) welcoming facility. Activities included yoga classes and private groups for pilates, tai chi and sewing plus regular requests to host children parties and family gatherings.
There was hope at the end of 2024 regarding the extension. The proposed works were submitted to the Planning Department in the week before the Xmas break. Constraints that have delayed getting to this stage being the environment and current building regulations.
Thanks are due to Cllr.Stephen Reid for utilising part of his Hampshire County Council Allowance to enable us to update the window blinds in the hall.
The publicity campaign organised by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council after the October 2024 AGM appeared, at the end of 2024 to have found two potential new Trustees, Derek Western and Paul Lyndon. As soon as a new Trustee is elected we will finally be in a position to release Michael Hook from his trusteeship.
