**been welcomed. This has provided the**
**opportunity to encourage the new**
**members in model railway activities.**
**The society has also supported other**
**Model Railway Societies by exhibiting**
**either Society layouts or members**
**personal layouts at their exhibitions.**
**The Society’s Annual Exhibition is the**
**main opportunity of engaging with the**
**wider public. The Exhibition for 2023**
**had to be cancelled at fairly short notice**
**because of the unavailability of the**
**venue due to building work. This also**
**had a significant impact on the**
