Volunteer handlers train every day with their dogs, and it can take 2+ years to train a dog to an appropriate basic qualifcation standard. Volunteers also support the operations of the organisation by attending callouts, training, and other events. All volunteers expend signifcant time, efort and their own funds supporting the organisation and its aims. As a team of volunteers, we are on call 24/365 to the emergency services. SARDA Anglia will also respond to callouts from other appropriate organisations e.g. local resilienceforum members etc. |

| Achievements and Performance | ||
| SORP reference | ||
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | SARDA Anglia has been on standby, and the dogs, handlers and other team members have maintained their training and readiness standards. Team members and their dogs continue to train, with new dogs being trained as part of the natural turnover and operational lifespan of the dogs. This is key to maintain operational readiness and for the welfare of the dogs and their wellbeing. It is important to note that all dogs live out their natural lifespan after retirement and no dog is put to sleep at the end of its working life. Sadly during this financial / operational year we lost two dogs due to serious health reasons. It is important for the teams to remain trained and available for the benefits to the wider community when called upon. |

| Notes to the Accounts for the Financial Year 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 | |||||||||
| 1 | SARDA Anglia (previously known as NSARDA Anglia) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales on 23 April 2018 |
||||||||
| 2 | These accounts relate to the financial year 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 It should be noted that SARDA Anglia currently have no restricted funds. |
||||||||
| 3 | Column labelled 'Previous Year' relates to the financial year 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 | ||||||||
| 4 | The accounts for the period have been drafted in accordance with the Charity Commission for England and Wales guidance for simple Receipt and Payment accounts CC16a using a simplified format. |
||||||||
| 5 | When reading the accounts it should be noted that the numbers may differ from bank statements etc. as the figures are rounded up/down and to the nearest £. |
||||||||
| 6 | As there has been no financial movement in the accounting year, the Trustees opted to share the role of Treasurer. However, it should be noted that there is separation between those that can access the bank account and the person drawing up the accounts. This meets good financial practice for a small organisation. |
||||||||
| 7 | As noted above there is limited movement in the accounts and several people and members have been generous and met the limited outgoings as gifts to the organisation e.g. printing and internet costs. |
