SORP reference
Policy on grant making Para 1.38 SARDA Anglia currently has an informal
policy on grant-making, as a small
organisation the only grants the
organisation makes, are for small amounts
to some members for the purchase of
specialist support items.
Policy on social investment
including program related
investment
Para 1.38 SARDA Anglia does not have any
investments
Contribution made by
volunteers
Para 1.38 SARDA Anglia is entirely volunteer run and
supported and therefore the contribution
made by volunteers is immeasurable.
Volunteer handlers train every day with
their dogs, and it can take 2+ years to train
a dog to a basic qualification standard.
Volunteers also support the operations of
the organisation by attending callouts,
training, and other events. All volunteers
expend significant time, effort and their own
funds supporting the organisation and its
aims. As a team of volunteers, we are on
call 24/365 to the emergency services.

Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 SARDA Anglia has carried out several
searches during the financial year including
finding a person (sadly deceased) that had
been missing for 12 days. The Police and
other search assets had been unable to
locate the missing person.
Team members and their dogs continue to
train, with new dogs being trained as part
of the natural turnover and operational
lifespan of the dogs. This is key to
maintain operational readiness and for the
welfare of the dogs and their wellbeing. It is
important to note that all dogs live out their
natural lifespan after retirement and no dog
is put to sleep at the end of its working life.
It is important for the teams to remain
trained and available for the benefits to the
wider community when called upon.

Notes to the Accounts for the Financial Year 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024
1 SARDA Anglia (previously known as NSARDA Anglia) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation
registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales on 23 April 2018
2 These accounts relate to the financial year 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024
It should be noted that SARDA Anglia currently have no restricted funds.
3 Column labelled 'Previous Year' relates to the financial year 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023
4 The accounts for the period have been drafted in accordance with the Charity Commission for
England and Wales guidance for simple Receipt and Payment accounts CC16a using a simplified
format.
5 When reading the accounts it should be noted that the numbers may differ from bank statements
etc. as the figures are rounded up/down and to the nearest £.
6 As there has been limited financial movement in the accounting year, the Trustees opted to share
the role of Treasurer. However, it should be noted that there is separation between those that can
access the bank account and the person drawing up the accounts. This meets good financial
practice for a small organisation.
7 As noted above there is limited movement in the accounts and several people and members have
been generous and met the limited outgoings as gifts to the organisation e.g. printing and internet
costs.
8 Signed in person by the signatories and scanned for upload to the Charity Commission for England
and Wales website
