Para 1.17 and 1.19	a) Providing a dedicated and trained emergency search and rescue service consisting of appropriately trained dogs, handlers, and other team members to assist and support the emergency services in the search and rescue of missing persons in East Anglia. b) Providing a back-up service to other search and rescue groups across the UK and elsewhere if called upon and able to do so.
Statement confirming whether the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit	Para 1.18	The Trustees have due regard to the requirements of the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit and have exercised their powers and duties in accordance with those obligations. The primary aim of SARDA Anglia in meeting the test for public benefit is that of, the saving of lives.

Policy on grant making	Para 1.38	SARDA Anglia currently has an informal policy on grant-making, as a small organisation the only grants the organisation makes, are for small amounts to some members for the purchase of specialist support items.

Contribution made by volunteers	Para 1.38	SARDA Anglia is entirely volunteer run and supported and therefore the contribution made by volunteers is immeasurable. Volunteer handlers train every day with their dogs and it can take 2+ years to train a dog to the basic qualification standard. Volunteers also support the operations of the organisation by attending callouts, training, and other events. All volunteers expend significant time, effort and their own funds supporting the organisation and its aims. As a team of volunteers, we are on call 24/365 to the emergency services.

Para 1.20	Like many charities, SARDA Anglia has had a difficult time during the continuing Covid 19 pandemic. However, team members and their dogs continue to train. This is important to maintain operational readiness and for the welfare of the dogs and their wellbeing. It is important for the teams to remain trained and available for the benefits to the wider community if called upon.
