## **COLDFALL SUPPORT: Chair’s Report 2021/22** 

1. Coldfall Support was established in April 2018 as a charity through which parents with children at Coldfall Primary School, and others, can make financial contributions towards the provision of facilities and other resources for pupils at the school. The decision to establish the charity was taken against the background of cuts to the school’s funding and the increasingly precarious financial position of schools more generally. 

2. There were changes to the Trustees in the year 2021-22.  Trustee Richard Spitz resigned as his term of office as a Parent Governor at Coldfall Primary School ended. In his place two new Trustees: Clive Engelbert and Sinead Queeney, were appointed. Douglas Blackwood was appointed Chair of Coldfall Support.  Lindsay Dearden remained as Treasurer. 

3. The trustees are grateful for the voluntary contributions that have been made so far. 

4. In the next year the charity will continue to promote voluntary donations with an appreciation that this may not be possible given the current _‘cost of living crisis’_ . 

5. We continue to be grateful to the governing body and to members of staff, in particular Laggi Efthymiou, who assist the trustees in setting up sound financial and accounting structures for the charity 

6. The trustees continue to focus their efforts on raising awareness of the charity and providing a simple way for donors to provide voluntary contributions. The charity has begun to explore how the funds should be allocated in collaboration with all stakeholders of Coldfall Primary School.
