COLDFALL SUPPORT: Chair’s Report 2020/21
-
Coldfall Support was established in April 2018 as a charity through which parents with children at Coldfall Primary School, and others, can make financial contributions towards the provision of facilities and other resources for pupils at the school. The decision to establish the charity was taken against the background of cuts to the school’s funding and the increasingly precarious financial position of schools more generally.
-
There were no changes during the year 2020/21 to the make-up of trustees. Since April 2021 there have been changes to the trustees which will be detailed in next year’s report.
-
The trustees are grateful for the voluntary contributions that have been made so far.
-
Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has continued to cause disruption to the school and the charity which has limited our planned expansion of voluntary contributions.
-
We continue to be grateful to the governing body and to members of staff, in particular Laggi Efthymiou, who assist the trustees in setting up sound financial and accounting structures for the charity.
-
The trustees continue to focus their efforts on raising awareness of the charity and providing a simple way for donors to provide voluntary contributions. Once the charity has accumulated sufficient funds, we will explore how the funds should be allocated in collaboration with all stakeholders of Coldfall Primary School.
Douglas Blackwood, Acting Chair of Coldfall Support
