The purpose of the charity is to promote the art of drama for the public benefit in particular but not exclusively by providing public theatre performances.

Structure, Governance, and Management

The charity’s daily work is limited to research and development at this stage. The Trustees are satisfied that the charity works within the objects.

Financial Matters

Barbaros Ensemble’s income for the financial period was £35,249 and its expenditure was £29,774. Income was derived from a third grant from the Irving Memorial Trust, a first grant from the Kathleen Hannay Memorial Charity, five donations from private individuals, and gift aid payments where eligible. The expenditure went towards the continued renovations of our permanent site in France, as well as covering the necessary expenses of the artists who are working to bring the project to life. We anticipate a continuation of the current development pattern in the upcoming years, where the progress of the Barbaros site proceeds incrementally according to the success of the ongoing fundraising efforts.
