Stepping Forward facilitates & accelerates access to essential services, information, resources and life opportunities so that all people affected by disability can live a full life. We run disability awareness sessions in schools, disability confident training & support people to access essential support. We support a range of initiatives globally to promote the rights of disabled people.
Objects: For The Public Benefit The Relief Of People With Long-Term Physical, Mental, Intellectual Or Sensory Impairment Disabilities In The UK And Worldwide Through:(1) The Advancement Of Education In Particular But Not Exclusively By The Provision Of Training And Education To Professionals In Areas Related To Disability Issues And Delivering Workshops To Children And Young People.(2) The Promotion Of Equality And Diversity By:(a) The Elimination Of Discrimination On The Grounds Of Disability;(b) Advancing Education And Raising Awareness In Equality And Diversity;(c) Promoting Activities To Foster Understanding Between People Affected By Disability;(d) Cultivating A Sentiment In Favour Of Equality And Diversity.(3) To Promote Social Inclusion By Preventing Individuals With Long-Term Physical And/or Mental Disabilities From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society In Particular But Not Exclusively By:(a) Empowering Families Facing Long-Term Mental And/or Health And Educational Barriers;(b) Providing Education And Informative Support To Enable Maximum Educational Opportunities;(c) Raising Public Awareness Of The Issues Affecting Individuals With Long-Term Physical And/or Mental Disabilities, Their Families And Carers In Relation To Their Educational And Social Exclusion;(d) Administrating Workshops, Forums, Advocacy And General Support For Individuals With Long-Term Mental And/or Physical Disabilities Their Families And Carers; And(e) Administrating Recreational Facilities And Opportunities For Individuals With Long-Term Physical And/or Mental Disabilities, Their Families And Carers.
