The charlty's governlng document is Its constltutlon. adopted at the AGM on June 26, 2018. The charity is a
charitable incorporated organlsatlon ICIOI and came Into belng when entered onto the re81Ster of charltles on 30
September 2018.
Charlty trustees, up to a maximum of 12, are appointed by exi5tin8 charity trustee5. Tru5tee5 meet once a quarter to
discuss and manage the charity.
Meetings take place at the buslness address of one of our trustees or more recently on the online platform zoom.
We would like to thank TRP Sealing Systems for thelr continulng support of Herefordshlre Heartstart.

Arranging and providin8 courses and other opportunities for people to learn the essential knowledge, skills
and attitudes necessary to help them deal with emergency situations to the best of their ability-
Encouraging attendante on training courses.
Ensuring that the conduct and delivery of training of and by the instructors is in accordance with the
current guidelines set or accepted by the Resuscitation Council UK or any other 8uidelines approved by the
British Heart Foundation.
Contributing to the wider development of the Heartstsrt initiative.

The tru5tees' vision Is such that everyone In the county can react to support a Ilfe and alert quallfled medical
asslstance in emergency situations. To ensure that more people suNlve a heart attack or other Ilfe-threatening
emergency by providlng quality tralnlng and Impartlng the confldence to act.
Numbers trained have gradually increased over thls year wlth more courses booked and volunteers becoming more
actlve.

In the Communlty
We are proud to report a continued rise in course participation, reflectlng growing communlty engagement and trust
in our servlces. Our coordinator has worked tirelessly to schedule and manage volunteers, desplte the ongolng
challenge of operating with a small but exceptlonally commltted volunteer team.
We remain a trusted trainlng provlder for buslnesses across Herefordshlre, many of whom return annually to refresh
and upsklll thelr staff testament to the quality and relevance of our courses.
Last yearfs strateglc goal to reconnect with former partner organisatlons was a clear success, dlrectly contrlbutln8 to
the increase in course numbers and strengthening our community ties.
In xhools and colleqes
We contlnue our annual partnership wlth Hereford Slxth Form College, delivering tralnlng to students who
voluntarily attend outslde of thelr regular tlmetable. Their commltment speak5 volumes about the value they place
on the Ilfe-saving skills we provide.
Volunteeys
We currently have a team of 20 volunteers, with 12 actively deliverln8 courses. We're delighted to welcome four
new volunteer5 who are now shadowing experienced team members as they prepare for formal training.
Earlier this year, we hosted a training and engagement event, offerlng volunteers the opportunity to meet our
coordinator and deepen thelr connection to the charity. A follow-up refresher training 5e55ion is scheduled later thi5
year to support ongoing development and retention.
Gronts /fvndiry
Our work in the tommunity continues to be supported by generous public donations collected durlng courses. These
contribution5 are vital to 5UStaining our operations and expanding our reach.

Income - The Charity has contlnued to recelve donations in the sum of £3,359 predominantly from courses and
sponsorship form local bu51nesse5 for literature and educational materlals. We are extremely grateful for all those
who have supported the Charity SO 8enerously thls year. Progress continLbe5 to be made with CAF Donate in order to
provide an easier process for those wlshlng to donate and who do not carry cash to the course for example.
Expendlture - The maln expenditure for the Charlty thls year was the co.ordinators remuneration and insurance,
alongside materials. literature and certlflcates.
C1051nq Funds - The trustees have set a51de a reseNe of £5,CO) to cover runnlng costs If there Is a sudden drop In
income and thls sum is revlewed annually. All funds are held in a bank account with the Charitie5 Aid Foundation, and
all payments and withdrawals require two authorised 518natures.
