The objects of the charity are to advan￿ the Christian faith for the trEnefit of the public. The charity owns its building in Sutton Coldfield and prthid 19 weIthm￿l over 40 memkers to Sunday setmces. The church suprK)rts a nUM￿r of UK and overseas Christian Wort(e￿, mission organisations aThJ secular charities. It is involveAJ in a numLEr of activities which benefit the local community. Management and Governan The trustees are reswnsible for the management of the tharity. are appKJinted for a period of three years and any new trustee will have the necessary knowledge of the church and skills and experien￿ n￿ed for the effecb've thlership of the charity. The trustees are joined in the management of the o)arity by a kadership team, of which they are memtsers. Risk Review Risk management is undertaken through monthly meeting5 of the Leadership Team. Systems have been estsblished to enable regular risk rewew so that n￿eSSary steps can be taken to further lessen those risk5. Our offerings and donations are back to pre-pandemic levds. We have al￿ welcomed 3 few new members to the thurch during the year. We are contirsuing to Improve building faolities to wura9e pg¥4e to (ome alcry to actiwties. The planned new heating and g)me decoratr.cfi has now complet8J SKce55fully in the Sanctuary and new front dcors and toilet TrMnth)ws have Ixi fitted in Ortcts 2024. To this end we are pleased to welcome a keep fit class for seniors and Ffyknde who prepare a free meal for the community from donated food from the supermarkets. FALCON LODGE CHAPEL NOTES TO THE AccouKrs FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 APRIL 2024 Accounting Policies 1.1 Basis of prepardtion The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost conventlon and indude the results of the church's operations described in the Trustees Report. All of which are continuing. The accounts have been prepared in accordan￿ wtth the Statement of Recommended Practice for charity accounts and are prepared on a cash accounting basis. 1.2 Tangible fixed assets Assets for use by the church are stated at cost less depreciation. No dep￿CIation is provided on the building revaluation as it is the Trustees, opinion that the current value of the land and buildings is in excess of the stated value. 1.3 Income Offerings and donations Voluntary income Including offerings and donations that provide core fundlng are or a￿ of a general natu￿ and are recognised when recdved. Such incorne is only deferred when: The donor specffjes that the donation must On￿ be used in future accounting periods, or The donor has Imposed conditions which mLSt be met befo￿ the church has unconditional entitlement Grants for the purchase of fixed assets are recognised in full in the Statement of Financial Activities in the period in which they are received and are accounted for as restricted funds. 1.4 Taxation The charity is exempt from taxation on Its charitsble activities. Value Added Tax is not recoverable by the church and is induded in the relevant costs. 1.5 Resources expended Resour￿5 expended are included in the Statements of Financial Activities on a cash basis. 1.6 Trustees No trustee ￿ceiVed any remuneration during the year.

FALCON LODGE CHAPEL STATEMENT OF TRusfEES RESPONSIBILrrIES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 APRIL 2024 Trustees Responsibilities Law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a tnje and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the surplus or deficit of the tharity for that period. In preparing those financial statements the trustees are required to: Select suitable accounting policies and the apply them consistentiy. Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and pwdent. State whether applicable accounting standards have been fo51owed, subject to any material departure disdosed and explained in the financial ststements. Prepare the financial ststements on the going con￿rn basis unless it is inappropriate to assume that the thartty will continue. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose, with reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial positson of the tharity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hen￿ taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
