**Objects:** TO PROTECT HUMAN LIFE AND PROPERTY BY ASSISTING THE WORK OF EMERGENCY RESPONSE GROUPS TO HELP TO PROTECT COMMUNITIES IN KENT FROM THE EFFECTS OF NATIONAL AND LOCAL DISASTERS AND EMERGENCIES HOWEVER CAUSED BY:(1)PROVIDING ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS SUPPORT TO: THE EMERGENCY SERVICES, NATIONAL AND LOCAL AND GOVERNMENT, VOLUNTARY EMERGENCY RESPONSE GROUPS, ORGANISATIONS PROVIDING VITAL SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY, COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS, AND COMMUNITY EVENTS;(2)PROMOTING THE RECRUITMENT OF LICENSED RADIO AMATEURS AND OTHERS TO VOLUNTARY EMERGENCY RESPONSE GROUPS AND COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS; AND FURTHERING THEIR EDUCATION IN ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS, AND OTHER SKILLS RELEVANT TO PROTECTING THE PUBLIC.

**Activities:** We work with Raynet amateur radio groups in Kent and Medway, who provide emergency support to humanitarian organisations; and to Category 1 and Category 2 organisations specified in the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, ie the emergency services, central and local government, and essential utilities.  We help provide communication services, equipment, and training.
