GISLINGHAM SILVER BAND CHAIRMAN'S REPORT 2025
2024 The band preformed at 10 engagements last year at Mellis D Day celebration and remembrance , Walsham Le Willows open gardens , Pulham Market Fate , Wickham Skeith Church Fund Raiser , Botesdale Remembrance Service , Hartismere House carols , Wickham Skeith Christmas Pudding Stir up , Christmas Music Night Gislingham , Thornham Magna Carol Service and Carols at Mellis Tavern . We were still unable to lead parades on remembrance Sunday. I am glad we could play seated at Botesdale and provide cornet players for the Last Post there and also at Dickleburg in the morning. We have 19 members in the band and encourage new wind players of all abilities to join us .
The trustees have had a disabled toilet pod installed with a pad and path at the side of the band hut . Thanks to Terry for overseeing the installation . Lastly would like to thank Adrian as Musical Director for arranging music for us and striving to improve us each week. Thank you every one in the band and those who support us and hope we all have another enjoyable year .
