## **Finance’s**

## Grants

## **WWTSS/FAW**

The club received £1000 in December 2021 for the continuation of associated costs with the running of the national project We Wear The Same Shirt. This contributed towards admin costs (£12.72), advertisement (£158.40 - website host) with the rest contributing towards facility hire expenses in 2022 (£828.88)

## **KFC**

WIFC were successful in 2022 of applying for a grant totalling £2000 towards young people at risk.

The project scope for this consisted of

“This would see us target at risk young people, children in homes and on the streets and offer them guidance, support & sport”

Our plan is broken into 3 sectors.

Part 1 would see 1 person fully trained up to give them the opportunity in life to build confidence and gain a possible future career. This person is was in severe poverty and comes from a disadvantaged background.

We planned to offer him FAW (football association of Wales) qualifications which will help him grow as a person and offer him future career paths. He will then be able to apply this in his voluntary role at our club to further help more disadvantaged individuals at our weekly sessions

The breakdown of this is the following

"The aim of this opportunity is to enable this person to obtain the FAW c certificate" to obtain this each individual must complete

FAW football leaders (£50)

FAW First Aid (£60) FAW Safeguard award (£50) FAW C certificate (£375) FAW C certificate youth transition (£75)

##

Clothing for coaching budget (all weathers required £150)

3 more individuals to enable youth transition qualification to further target our proposal of supporting youths from a disadvantaged background (3 x £75)

## Total £985

Part 2 would see us offer free youth sessions for a limited time to assist with the cost of living crisis. Our plan is to being this after Christmas 2022 and run this from 11th January 2023 until May 3rd 2023. The cost to us would be £31.25 per week for the hall, so for 15 weeks this would come to £468.75

Part 3 would see our youth volunteer plan to hold a tournament with local care homes/specialist housing. It would bring together disadvantaged people and offer them the opportunity that would not normally be possible. In turn by seeing what the club offers it may enable our numbers to grow on a weekly basis therefore helping these individuals in the long term. It would be fully covered by the club for we anticipate up to 50 individuals.

It would include a day of football and hot food. The estimated quote for this from where we are located is £375 for a days hall hire and £400 for food and drink and has been arranged for 31st May 2023.

Investment Breakdown

TRAINING = £985 SUBSIDISED YOUTH SESSIONS = £468.75 TOURNAMENT = £775

TOTAL = 2,228.75

The club will be happy to make the shortfall for the announced projects and this plan will enable the grant to be completed for the June 2023 deadline.

## **CO-OP**

The club participated in the latest round of local giving which was aimed at continuing our current projects whilst supporting further growth. The club was awarded £3,519.72 from members selecting WIFC as their local giving choice.

## Projects

## _WAPM/The Land_

## **Existing 48 Week Project**

For this the club where awarded £3,000 to run the project for 48 weeks of the year indoors at the centre that commenced in 2021. Numbers have been so strong with the club averaging 25 to 30 players every week with it having a very positive effect on the estate and more so it is making a real difference to the young people's lives and behaviours.

As of 01/01/2022 £687.50 had been redeemed against the £3000 resulting in £2312.50 left to continue into 2022. Unfortunately delays in delivering have been experienced. Week 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 were not possible to run due to the indoor sports facility being used for the winter covid-19 booster programme. Week 14 seen excessive covid-19 rates which resulted in WAPM suspending the session. At week 31 WIFC were unable to fulfil the delivering of the programme due to excessive volunteer unavailability. Following this WAPM continued to deliver the programme with WIFC repaying the amount each week by covering the facility hire until the £3000 is covered. The £62.50 per week initial cost was then split into just facility hire cost (£31.25 per session) from week 31 onwards and this extended the duration to be completed in February 2023.

## **Tournament**

WIFC secured a donation of £500 from long term support SG estates for sponsor of our tournament. This was allocated to costs with hosting the event. The event proved successful again with in excess of 300 in attendance. Winners on the day included

Bradford Disability FC, Doncaster Titans, Autonomy And Leek Town AC FC.

In February half term, the club helped support 201 people into the holiday club, activities

included designing your own shirt, plenty of football, games and refreshments. The Holiday club was supported by we are plas madoc.

## **General Manager Comments**

The year started slowly with sessions not returning until into February due to facility availability, once it began there was no looking back with a highly successful holiday club setting the tone for the year ahead, over 200 participants took part and this is not possible without the key support of our partners We are Plas Madoc, FAW Trust, North Wales Police PACT, CO-OP and Plas Madoc Leisure Centre

On the football front, our first competitive fixture took place in may against Llysfaen Youth

Bootle Buck’s Success

Sheds at colwyn bay, before a highly successful trip to Bootle Bucks tournament saw our u-13’s and u-16’s claim silverware in the youth category and further trophies in the senior category. Further trips followed to Lytham St Anne’s, Bradford and Doncaster.

The club toured Scotland and participated in the Sterling University Tournament, 39 people took part in the trip from players to staff and support workers. During the trip, we took a trip to Celtic FC for a guided tour and then

Wrexham Inclusion Football Club Est 2011

took part in the Symgenta Disability Football Festival to which the club saw success from entering.

Four of our volunteers began their FAW C Certificate journey over a 6 month period during 2022, again a massive achievement from the club to be able to deliver on this goal from 2021. We invest strongly in our coaches and we will always aim to continually invest in our current crop of young coaches gain valuable qualifications that they can take into their own working lives to secure employment and future careers

Once again, I'd like to take the time to thank our trusted board and volunteers for their continuous efforts to grow and develop our projects with such profession's on and off the field of play, it is truly remarkable the time and dedication you give to making this club what it is, without your support this isn’t possible. Our aim is always to retain our volunteers and we will support them throughout their journey at our club through any appropriate training and support they may require, it has been a difficult year with the volunteering numbers fluctuating and 2 key members of staff sadly moving onto new things.

## **Football Manager’s Comments**

We’ve had some good progress on the football front after covid-19, some successful trips the one highlight being to Scotland. the feedback received has been positive as we continue to grow back into competitive action, on a not so positive note The club has done fantastic to survive after the covid restrictions were lifted and numbers are back to were they where previously, but Losing two major staff has stretched the club and has made it very difficult to improve the service. The next 12 months will be very difficult. Massive credit must go to the volunteers that remain because just keeping the club going last year at that level is probably the biggest achievement we've had.

I've been working on reception since August 2022, post covid numbers have been increasing every week, we have good number in all sessions. Our first session we have around 15 children but with positive growth, our second session we have average of 24 players and within our third session we have 25 players, the sessions consists of different abilities and we have fantastic coaches that understand and coach for them all.
