Irthpendent e￿￿MInerS report to the tntstees of The River Wey Trust (CIO 1177871)
I report on the accounts for year ended 30th April 2024, which are set out on
page l.
Respectsve responsibiltties of trustees and examiner
The chartys trustees are responsible for preparation of the accounts. The
charity's trustees consider ihat an audit is not required for this year under section
144{21 of the Charitses Act 2011 (the 2011 Ad) and that an indeFendeTrt examination
is needed.
It is my resF)onsibilty to.. examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act.. to
follow Ihe procedures laid down in the general Directions gtven by the Charty
Commission under section 145(5){b) of the 2011 Act, and to state whether particular
matters have come lo my attenkn'on.
Basis ot indeperKlent examinevs report
My examinat￿7 was carried (yJt in accordan￿ wrth the general Directions gwen by
the Chanty Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records
kept by the charity arKI a comparison of the accounts presented W￿h those records. It
also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and
seeking explanations from you as trustees conceming any such matters. The
procedU￿S undertaken do not wovide all the evidence that would be required in an
audit arKI consequently no O￿nIOn is gNen as to vthether Ihe accounts wesent a Irue
and fair and the report is limited to those matters set out in the 5tstement
below.
Independent examiners statement
In o)nnection wth my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
(1) which gtve5 me reasonab￿ cause to believe that in any material rested the
requirements.. to keep acLounting records in accordan￿ wrth section 130 of the
2011 Act., and lo prepare accounts which accord wrth the accounting records and
comply wrth the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act have not met'.or
(2) to which, in my opinion, attention shoukl be dra%￿ in order lo enable a proper
understanding of the accounts to be re%hed.
