Clubs are Chartered as separate entities with their own constitution but have links to other clubs in their Zone, to their District in the South Centre of England, the Multiple District of the UK and to Lions Clubs International. This provides a vehicle for the exchange of ideas to benefit the Local, National and International aims of Lions Clubs in their Charity activities.

Major Risks.

As the Chippenham Lions Club does not own property or employ anyone risks are considered to be low. All Lions Clubs and Trustees are covered by Lions Multiple District Insurance Policy.

To guard against insolvency the Trustees ensure that grants are only made against available funds.

- trustees’ consideration of major risks and the system and procedures to manage them.

## **Section E                    Financial review**

**Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves**

Given the Chippenham Lions Club (CIO) scale of operation and the fact that grants and donations are only approved within the limits of funds available at any given time we do not hold significant reserves. However at the end of each financial year we look to hold a reserve of between £3000 to £5000 to cover emergency requests that may arise and to cover expenditure of future fundraising activities.

**Details of any funds materially** We have no funding deficits **in deficit**

## **Further financial review details (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include additional information, where relevant about:

- the charity’s principal sources of funds (including any fundraising);

As stated above the vast majority of our funding comes from the various activities we organise to raise money, with a small percentage coming from donations.

We do not have an investment policy as it is the aim of the club to return all monies raised back in to the community.

- how expenditure has supported the key objectives of the charity;

- investment policy and objectives including any ethical investment policy adopted.
