The charity's objective is the promoliDn of Community participation for both adults and juniors In healthy rec￿ats.0n in
NDrfolk and Sufftylk, partsoJlaily tho provision of events, c08ching and training in the three sports of Triathlon
Iswirnming, CycliThJ and Running).
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Charitable actlvlties
The year ènded 30th SepteM￿￿r 2024 is the 51xlh p8riod ol operat￿n for the CIO and we as Tru$leES believe that. as In
prior years, th& Charity hag maintained its finan¢ial Integrity. The financial integrity of the CIO will allow il to fully
continue with its charitable objective5 in the future. in accordance with the recornmendations of the Triathlon
Fedeiatson.
The CIO provides for a11 those people in the comrnunity who are interested in swim, bike and run a¢livilies and caters for
all abilth.es and ages. The CIO provvJ8s trainin9 &&ssions lor its members which have consisted of pool training. open
waterswimmiro, organised cycle rides. running and strergth and con(Jit￿ning sessions.

The Trustees and Comrnillee agreed in P<23 that junior memb&rship would b& free from Janugry 2023 to
encourag& participation of young peopk to participat& in swim. bike and run 8ctivilies

were slightly down wlh 617 members in FY24 vs 841 in the prior ye2r
There has bèen considerable cost Inflabon in the faolibes used by the ¢lub, in partrular the open water
swimmirg venue that fonrs a key part ofour IrainiTrg provision to the membership
well as womoting our own events, discussed below, the CIO h85 Suc￿sSfUllY promo18d and ellcour8ged
parb¢ipalion in other external events in¢luding the East Anglian Cross Country League, the round Norfolk relay and the
Bedford Triathlon Relays
The Committee and trust￿ ar8 keen th8t the CIO continues to extend the range of activities they offer lo encourage
partiClP8tion in the sports ol triathlon and will continue to look for opwrtunities to expand the CIO'S provision. vthile
rewewing the utilisalion of sesSIOn5 provided lo ensur8 th& member8hip as a whole benefits from activities The CIO
does r￿t employ coaches but contrads with Selt-em￿0ygj coaches to deliv&r training sessions. Vve remain 8 8[￿sh

and sodal aclivilies. In line with rnany other organisation$ finding willing volunteers lo administer and marshall these
sessions is challenging and the willingness ol volunteers lo step up ensures the CIO can provide good value in the
a¢tiwtie5 we pro¥￿e.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Financial review
The CIO'S financial perforrnantt durirvJ the p@ric￿ and the year*nd disposition are COns￿ered by the Trustees lo be
sa1￿[2¢tOry with a surplus for the year ended 30th SepiÈmber 2024 01 £4,181 12023 £2,834). In FY24 the CIO induded
in its results 8cuu8d revenue 8ett18d after th¢ accounting date bul recognised in line with the CIO'S policy on in¢ome
recognition. Thi3 acuual has not LEen Included historically and as a result there is £4,114 of surplus Ihat rdates lo
revenue that would not h8ve b*n recoonised In FY24 using the FY23 methodology Exduding this, Y)e CIO would have
been almost exactly breakeven for the year In I￿knt of this posityon Mnd continued cost in¢¢ases. the Cominitlee and
Trustees have further increased membership fee5 and the cost to member5 of some training. in particular open water
swimrning. to mitigate the size ola potential deficit M the year lo 30th Sepleinber 2025.

maintained at S tninirnurn level of £20,000 to rneet expenses ralaled to th8 charity's major event, the Normch Triathlon,
