Reserves Poll¢y
Given the chariW$ scale of operation and the fact that it only dispenses grants I donations within
the limit of its funds at any given time it is not considered that there is a need for significant
reseNes. However, the Charitable Trust looks to maintain a minimum balance in its account of
£1,0￿ to pre-pay for fundraising initiatives and to cover any urgent needs or requests for financial
grantsldonation5.
Risk Policv
Not havin8 property inte￿$t$ or employees. the Charws exposure to rlsk is relatively low. The
Trustees are covered to the level of £5 mill￿n by the Trustee5' indemnity element of the Lions
Multiple Distrirt Insurance policy. Due diligence in checkin8 the insurance details of any organisation
employed at events is essentlal. The main perceived risk is insolvency. This is addressed by the
trustees ensuring that grants I donation5 do not exceed the available funds held by the Charitable
Trust Fund at any 8Nen time. The Risk Policy of the Trust is subject to annual review.
