The charity is a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) whose voting members are its trustees. 

Objectives: 

The relief of those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability financial hardship or other disadvantage in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas, through the provision of preloved household items such as furniture. 

Activities: 



The charity actively supports individuals and families who are struggling to equip their home due to financial pressures.  Beneficiaries are usually referred to us by one of our partner agencies.  We aim to protect vulnerable tenants from needing to access unaffordable credit and support them in a time of crisis to create a home.  All activities and gifts from the charity are compliant with our charitable aims and carried out for the public benefit.  In addition, we run a charity shop that provides access to low-income individuals and families to access items at affordable prices whilst maintaining dignity.  We use preloved items to reduce the impact of items going to landfill and promote the concept of recycling and upcycling. 

Volunteers: 

We promote the work of our volunteers who gift their time, gifts and energies to help the charity meet its aims and objectives. 

Future Plans: 

The charity is working in partnership with the Wolverhampton Methodist Circuit and the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Financial Wellbeing team to achieve our charitable aims and provide wider opportunities to offer relief to the people of Wolverhampton who find themselves living in crisis. Together we will formulate a way of working whereby we can not only offer immediate support, but to build resilience within communities to offer pathways to escape any poverty cycle.  During this reporting period we were based at Bilston Methodist Church (WV14 7LZ) but will be moving with other partners to East Park Methodist buildings.  This offers a more central location to the people of Wolverhampton to access.
