To advance the Christian religion, by: (1) supporing the mission and ministr of the Church of England in the parishes of Long and Little Wittenham, Oxfordshire ('the Parish') and the Dorchester Team Ministr; (2) in paricular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, helping preserve, maintaining and, where appropriate, developing the fabric of the parish church of St Mary Long Witenham, Oxfordshire; and (3) supporing any purpose intended to furher the work of the Church of England and the spiritual, moral and physical education and training of the inhabitants of the Parish in such ways as the charity trustees may from time to time think. |

In this the seventh year of operation two grant applications were received The charity's objectives meet the Charity Commission's public benefit criteria under the advancement of religion and the preseration of the environmentI conseration headings and the trustees have regard to this in their decision making |

A grant of £1,000 was given to suppor a school project with Opera Brava, a Christian-run touring opera company A grant of £8,000 was approved in connection with a stonework repairs at St Mary's Church Long Wittenham. The funds have not yet been drawn down but the works are in progress at the date of this report The trustees continue to invite applications for funding in line with the charity's objectives |

Trust Deed Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) The selection of the initial trustees was specified in the will and the Trust Deed reflects this. Apart from the first charity trustees, every appointed trustee must be appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. (b) In selecting individuals for appointment as appointed charity trustees, the charity trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO. (c} In selecting individuals for appointment as appointed charity trustees, the charity trustees must have regardtocontinuing to represent the views of the Long and Little Wittenham PCCs and the Dorchester Team Ministry. Ex-officio Trustees (a) In this clause, "the role" means any or all of the following, as the case may be: (i) the TeamRector ofthe Dorchester-on-Thames Team (ii) no less than one and no more than two of the Church Wardens of the churches of Long Wittenham and Little Wittenham (iii) the person with primary pastoral care of Long Wittenham for the Dorchester Team (which person at the time of creating this CIO Is known as the "team Vicar") (iv) the PCC treasurer of Long and Little Wittenham or, if not possible, another PCC member (b) The role for the time being ("the office holder") shall automatically ("ex officio") be a charity trustee, for as long as he or she holds that office. |
