The charity was established under the terms of the will of the late Ursula Mary Ward and following grant of probate the sum of £411,622 was passed to the charity. In this the fourth year of operation a grant of £7000 was paid to be made to Long & Little Wittenham PCC in respect of refurbishment works to the bells at St Mary’s Church Long Wittenham. |

Ex-officio Trustees (a) In this clause, “the role” means any or all of the following, as the case may be: (i) the Team Rector of the Dorchester-on-Thames Team (ii) no less than one and no more than two of the Church Wardens of the churches of Long Wittenham and Little Wittenham (iii) the person with primary pastoral care of Long Wittenham for the Dorchester Team (which person at the time of creating this CIO is known as the “team Vicar”) (iv) the PCC treasurer of Long and Little Wittenham or, if not possible, another PCC member (b) The role for the time being (“the office holder”) shall automatically (“ex- officio”) be a charity trustee, for as long as he or she holds that office. |
