Section C Objectives and activities
For the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of stray dogs and cats in need of care and attention in England and Europe in particular by: a) Providing homes, care and treatment. Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
During the year ended 31 March 2022 Lotus Stray Rescue has worked hard to achieve the following:
-
40 stray dogs have been rescued, with 28 being rehomed in the UK. The remaining dogs are being financially supported in a private shelter in Romania where they receive appropriate shelter, food and vet care until such a time that they are rehomed.

• Fundraising income was generated during the year via online auctions and raffles.
-
Due to Covid restrictions sadly no neutering programmes were undertaken during the year, other than those belonging to the charity.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity for the period ended 31 March 2022.
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or

the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
