The object of the CIO is for the public beneft, by the relief and
assistance
of young people with special education needs and disabilities in
Freetown
Sierra Leone by the building and managing of a specialist day
and
boarding school for girls and boys with disabilities. The school
will be free
to pupils from Sierra Leone.
The Charity has established an ofce in Freetown Sierra Leone
and
registered with the local authorities. Pupils with communication
difculties have been registered with the charity. The Charity has
been
actively seeking contacts with the parents and the wider
community to
encourage a better understanding of disability.
The trustees have in planning their activities for the year
reviewed the
guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public beneft at
their
trustee meetings

During the past year because of COVID it has been very difficult to operate. The office has been open for some of the year to provide support to parents and children. There has been no opportunity to fund raise since such activities for fundraising in the UK were severely restricted.
