Trustees’ Annual Report and Accounts for
Let’s Educate Them (LET, 1177655).
The Trustees of “Let’s Educate Them” present the annual report for “Let Educa7on System” for the year ending 31/03/2024. We confirm that the report complies with the requirements of the ‘Chari7es Act 2011’ and the ‘Founda7on Model Cons7tu7on’.
Our aims:
We are a UK based charity registered with England and Wales (1177655) established in 2018 and opera7ng in the poorest areas of Pakistan. We provide free educa7on to underprivileged children, priori7sing educa7on for girls.
We have established a school in Rahim Yar Khan in the underdeveloped and very poor south Punjab region, according to our ‘Founda7on Model Cons7tu7on’, and inline with the needs and requirements of the 21[st] century’s Educa7on System.
the UK and Pakistan through the provision of schools and other educa7onal training facili7es. For this purpose, in mind, we built the school literally ‘from the ground up’ with funds provided by the Chair and with the hard efforts of the local community. The school opened in 2018 ini7ally with just 10 pupils, all of them were girls. However, the establishment of our school in the region quickly started to generate excitement, with many girls flocking to access this new opportunity for educa7on.
Achievements and act ac2vi2es so far (March 2024):
UK: we con7nue our sport to help children online. We extended our support to all those children's and parents who came in contact and showed interest in geang educa7onal help irrespec7ve of their financial status, free of charges. Our bank (Barclays Bank PLC) ini7a7ve of ‘next door’ helped us to offer our services to all those who wanted to benefit from it.
Pakistan: Girls’ educa7on in southern Punjab is not encouraged and even frowned upon. Educa7on for girls is thought to spoil and distract them from paying aeen7on to their household tasks. There is no value placed on girls aeaining more than a primary educa7on. Many villages in southern Punjab exemplifies these issues, where woman either only work labour jobs to support their families, or not allowed to work at all. Many areas of southern Punjab (like Rajapur) have a very small ra7o of func7oning girls’ School which, in addi7on to the above prevailing issues, is also largely due to severe lack of government funding. Our school is structured to encourage girls’ educa7on – although we co-educate both boys and girls through primary and middle school levels up to grade 8, we priori7se girls’ educa7on through secondary school as only 13% of girls are s7ll in school by ninth grade. The school has developed greatly since it's founding and now provides an excellent quality curriculum for primary, middle, and secondary educa7on, for 400 pupils - 315 of which are girls.

buildings sustained significant water damage. A number of classrooms were badly hit, toilet blocked, sanita7on and underground sewerage systems were significantly damaged, requiring major repairs, and much of the school’s electrical systems required urgent aeen7on. We have been able to bring the school back to its full func7on, with all 400 plus pupils receiving full 7me educa7on.
In November 2023 we were made aware of 10 Special Educa7onal Needs (SEN) students and two physically disabled students who were in urgent need of re-loca7ng to appropriately staffed and equipped schools. The children – all girls - were previously aeending mainstream schools in Rahim Yar Khan and can no longer aeend as the schools are not equipped with the human resources and material requirements to cater for their SEN needs.
that need to be catered for. Each one requires tailored teaching methodologies, along with appropriate learning aids and materials. Their unique needs, along with their behavioural requirements mean they would not be able to mix within mainstream classes and would need a dedicated classroom – which we can accommodate with some minor adjustments. A one-size-fits-all approach will not work for these children and the teaching methodologies will need to reflect this, as does the need for professionally qualified SEN teaching staff to cater for all the children.
to move freely to control their body movements. Due to these mobility issues, they have difficulty managing the distance between different learning ac7vi7es, carrying materials, and notetaking. They need assistance to move around classrooms and with going to and using the bathroom. The families cannot afford wheelchairs and we also would seek to support the pupils with the purchase of these.
We will con7nue our endeavours to increase the capacity of our school to accommodate those young, deserving boys and girls who want to follow this educa7onal path to become broad-minded, posi7ve, diligent, and fer7le members of the community rather than dipping into child labour and become hard liner and extremists.
