For the Period Ended 31" December 2020
Thriving Through Venture was established as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation ICIOI, Charity
Registration number 1177643, on 20 March 2018. Trustees are Josephine Del Mar Ichairl. Alexandra
Jackson, Rose Barclay. Dr Katie Adolphus. The address of the principal office 15 Mills Farm. Southcott,
Pewsey Wiltshire SN9 5JF.
The trL¢Stees of the charity present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year
ended 31st December 2020. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by
Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021
leffective l January 20151
The constitutional objects are to advance in life and help young people through= the provision of activities
in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life, providing support and
activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as
mature and responsible individuals. This is done by giving youn8 people an opportunity to rise to a
challenge that can connect them to their local community and to a different international community and
thereby gain a broader perspective on their own world. The programme aims to develop self- awareness
and resilience whilst creating an understanding of the young people's own purpose and personal values.
The Trust was unable to run any programmes during the COVID 19 pandemic period. Howeverthe charity
was able to work on internal administration and develop its plans for 2021

FINANCIAL REVIEW
Financial Position
A surplus of incoming resource5 over outgoing resources was recorded in the period ended 31
December 2020. This surplus will be added to the brought fonvard balance and the increased surplus
will be carried fonvard into 2021 to continue to fund our work with young people.
Principal funding sources
The Charity receives significant donations from charitable trusts and private individuals.
Reserves policv
The trustees aim to hold at any one time cash reseNes equivalent to six months running costs.
This aim was achieved at 31st December 2020 as it was not possible to run any of activities during the
year. It is proposed to contart our funders to carry forward their donations into 2021 when we plan to
restart our activities, albeit on a more restricted basis.

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the period ended 31st
December 2020.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the

Having satisfied myself that the accounts of the Charity are not required to be audited and are eligible for
independent examination, I report in respect of my examination of the Trusys accounts carried out under
section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable
directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515llbl of the Act.
Independent examlnerfs ststement
I have completed my examination. I confim that no material matters have come to my attention in
connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in. any material respect:
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with sett￿n 130 of the Charities Act- or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records- or
the accounts did not comply wwth the applicable requirements concerning the fom7 and content of
accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulation5 2(X)8 other than any requirement
that the accounts give a 'true and fairf view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent
examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connertion with the examination to which
attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be
reached.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of preparing the financial statements
These accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention with items recognised at cost or
transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant notels) to these accounts. The accounts have
been prepared in accordance wlth the Statement of Recommended Practice= Accounting and Reporting by
Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK
and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 issued on 16 July 2014. and with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021, and with the Charities Act 2011.
The charity constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102.*
Income
All income 15 recognised in the Statement of Finar)cial Activities ISOFAI when the charity becomes entitled
to the resources, it Is more likely than not that the trustees will receive the resources- and the monetary
value can be measured with sufficient reliability.
Expenditure
Liabilities are retogni5ed where it is more likely than not that there is a legal or constructive obligation
committing the charity to pay out resources and the amount of the obligation can be measured with
reasonable certainty.
