The trustees successfully raised funds for the Leicester Hospitals Charity totalling £3,000 in the previous year which were sent several times to the charity this year but again returned unpaid due to banking issue. The payment will be issued again in the coming year to the charity. The trustees have considered the general guidance on public benefit issued by the Charity Commission and has taken due regard of that guidance. The trustees consider that they are satisfied that the charity’s activities will benefit the public as the trustees have identified some projects which will be undertaken in the near future.

Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves

The charity has a policy not to hold any reserves but to retain and further raise sufficient funds for the charitable projects. During the period, the trustees secured unrestricted income of £862 and had £3,000 of grant expenditure for the Hospitals charity which was returned due to bank signing issues. Total other expenditure was £600 for professional fees. The surplus of £262 was added to the reserves which totalled £3,307. This will be held for the charity to further the aims of the charity by supporting the Hospitals charity which is aligned with its charitable aims.
