|Summary of the main activities in<br>relation to those purposes for the<br>public benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or services<br>identified in the accounts.|Lorton After School Club provides a vital service<br>through the employing of qualified and experienced<br>staff to deliver activities, new experiences and<br>supervised play for children aged 4 to 11. The group<br>offers local parents and families a service where<br>their children can be lookers after in a safe setting<br>and experience new activities and learning, as well<br>as social time with friends. They are also able to mix<br>with different age groups and children from other<br>backgrounds, out of school time.<br>The staff run a range of activities and experiences,<br>from crafts, sports, themed nights, healthy baking,<br>etc. Some nights are linked to national festivals,<br>allowing children to build not heir learning, develop<br>craft skills and make gifts for their families.<br>Educational development is informal, like running a<br>science club for children to carry out experiments<br>and make predictions. Or bring, where they leaner<br>about food hygiene and where food comes from.|

Care is taken to ensure a<br>variety of indoor and outdoor activities are offered,<br>across different cultural and leisure options. These<br>are set at team and individual levels, to meet a wise<br>variety of service user requirements.|

This involves standard<br>roles managing the club, plus overseeing the<br>interface with Ofsted. All trustees give their time<br>voluntarily and receive no remuneration or other<br>benefits.|



## **Achievements and Performance** 

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to the<br>circumstances of its beneficiaries<br>and any wider benefits to society<br>as a whole.|*Due to the pandemic starting during this year, the<br>club was closed for the later part of the school year.<br>(April-July).<br>Prior to that the club had been providing wonderful<br>care and activities for the beneficiaries. The children<br>were able to take part in achieving science awards,<br>develop their baking skills and there was lots of<br>interaction and personal and social development<br>across the age ranges that attend.<br>The club ran from 3pm-5pm allowing parents to<br>finish their working day.<br>During the year the club held parties, linked to<br>themes, halloween, Christmas, etc. Which are open<br>to all children.<br>Due to the pandemic we were unable to run our<br>main big fundraiser, the Lorton 10K. We received a<br>donation from a local family and had funding from<br>the local council to help with our reduced income<br>during covid.|
