Need to Talk 15 counsell&ng and well-being seNlces run by qualified coun5ellors; we provide 1-2-1 counselllnz
services, emotional support groups. workshops and placementto volunteer counsellorsfinishing their studles. We
wekome everyone; we offer a non-judEemental, understandingj and safe Pla￿ where people tan explore and
address thelr emotional needs. Wofk focuses on the welkbeing of all.
Objertives of the Charity

We have s￿dent volunteers maintainlng our soclal medla presence and generating a newsletter. We also have a
volunteer who supports U5 by maintainlng the website and emall services.

Need to Talk continues to:
We are now working on the three main counselling platfornis: face-to-frace. online and phone. and
we aim to carry on supporting the most vulnerable in the community with free or affordable
counselling sessions and wellbeing groups, including music and exerci￿. The community is now
ex￿rienc1n9 the impact of the cost-of41ving increase. montsl health users, BAME and LGBT groups
continue to be our priority as we are aware that they are some of the most vulnerable groups in our
ommunity.
Support and provide affordable counselling to appmlmately 8W coun5elling sessions quarterty. We
have 24 counsellors seeing a rnlnlmum of 3 clients each per week. Clients can elther have 12 5esslon5
{short counsellingl or opt for open*nded counselling extending to up to Z yeats.
> We have an ongoing emotional support group that empowers people to seek further sUPPOrt or l)etter
cope with their Mental well-being.
> We have always supported around 2￿25 volunteer counsellors at any time who are on the path to
becoming fully qualifled counsello¥s or accruing counselling hours towards their accreditation forfuture
practlo.

Projects that we have been working on this year:
Northwood Sthool- continued from prevlous year.
Need To Talk has two regular counsellors placed within the school. offering 1.2.1 sessions for young people.
National Lottery Community Fund- Emotlonal crfsls
This project continued from the previous year and will continue to support and continue to provlde one to one
counselling. Also, thi5 will help to Sustain the three different platforms that we use at Need to Talk.
Elm Tree Trust
The funds we have received from Elm Tree Trust of £5(￿ are unrestricted and will be spent on
Supporting our admin cost and rent.

Income from Counseliing 5esslons for 24125 was £34644. whlch 15 21% higher to that of the prev1￿$ year.
We secured funding from Elm Tree Trust whl¢h tots15 £3CYXM) over 6 years1£51MJO per Year) which Is unfestrlcted.
Harrow Wins tlcket sales brought in only £7.50 which is a decrease again from the previous year. It would suggest
that our support•Ys are not buying many tickets. This could be related to the cost.of-livlng crisis. We should look
Into ways to increase the sales of the Hafrow Wins Lottery tickets.
We also recelved donatlons of £50tIO whlch is unrestrlcted and tan contrlbute to our ovetheads.
Overall, 24125 has been a challenging year for fundlng. Looklng forward to the next year we wlll need to ralse
more funds so we (an ensure that Need to Talk can ¢arry on offering the ￿mmUnity a great seNlce and
counselling Se￿19nS.
The current level of reseThe5 is £10948 which are le55 than our reserves policy expectations. The trustees have
contlnu(Fusly been reviewing expenditure to enable and to ensure the reserves are at a minimum level In line with
the reser¥e5 policy. The trustees are aimin8 to have the reserves level in Ilne with the ReseNes pollcy by the end
of the next fifiancial year.

Statement of Trustees, Responsibilities
The trustees are responsible for preparing the tru5tees' report and the financial statements in accordance with the
United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice) and applicable law
and regulations. The law applicable to charities requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each
financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and
application of resources of the Charity for that period.
