We ended the year with a small net surplus of £240.01. Thls 15 lower than the previous year but mainly because we rècelved some very generous donatlons in 2024. 2025 represents a 'normal' year of activity. As a charity. we don't alm to make a profit, just maintain a suitable reserves or saving5 fund whSch we do. Those funds enable us to 5UPPOrt hlstori£al research and other local history projects now and in the future on top of our normal runnlng costs. Also, as a charlty. all our historical information Is being wnade publicly available through our website and Facebook pages. We Intreased our membership to 202, that plus the gift aid is ovr main source of Income. We made a slight105s on the outlng this year, Sn part down to lower numbers. In prevlous years we rnade 3 small profit. So, over several years th15 balances out and we contlnue to aim to for the outlng to pay for itself. Other costs such as lecture fees, hall hlre, prlntlng and so on were as expected. We wlll have to spend money on our archive Iphysl¢all storage and the webslte In the future but we have the funds to do $0. Mark Clay50n wlll now take over from me as your treasurer whllst I take up the role of webmaster. Mark was the treasurer before I took up the Tole, so we are In good hand5.
