I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 / 12 / 2021 .
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

Para 1.20 | During the period, LP4Y, England undertook the following activities: ●LP4Y Dinners 2021in May to raise funds in support of our new LP4Y Center in India, West Bengal. Dinners were an opportunity to advocate LP4Y goals and projects, as well as raise money through private & corporate donations and silent auctions ●Sailing for LP4Yin August 2021, with the first leg of a transatlantic regatta involving our President, Alexis Vaganay. This event was used to raise funds and awareness for LP4Y. ●LP4Y England information evening on Nov 30th 2021 to upd ate partners, donors and volunteers about the LP4Y, England activities and the projects supported These activities contributed to raising awareness and fundraising a total of £143,858, significantly above the £100,000 targeted for the period, of which £132,242 are restricted with £76,742 to be awarded to projects inWest Bengal, India and £55,500 to the Life Project Center inLebanon. During the period, the trustees have chosen to support, through grant making, the following projects: ● LP4Y Center in West Bengal |
The Green Village West Bengal is a 3-months residential learning-by-doing pedagogy offering solutions for the sustainable professional and social inclusion of excluded young women from rural areas of West Bengal and slum areas of Kolkata. The Green Village West Bengal is located in rural area to target Youth geographically excluded from the urban professional world. The Green Village West Bengal opened in July 2021 in Ranihati, Panchla, West Bengal region in India, 30 km from Kolkata. ● Life Project Centre in Lebanon The first LP4Y establishment in the Mediterranean region. LP4Y plans to expand into this new region, starting with Lebanon; creating a strong and active integration ecosystem. Lebanon faces many problems: high youth unemployment rate, significant migratory flows and economic crisis with an estimated 50% of the population now living in poverty, and 25% living in extreme poverty. The project consists of installing 2 Life Project centres. A memorandum of understanding with the Order of Malta was signed recognising the charity nature of LP4Y activities and facilitating the granting of volunteer visa. Thanks to the Order of Malte knowledge of the city of Beirut, the team of Volunteers could quickly start mapping the poverty zones and meeting local communities and actors, search for a building that will host the first Life Project Center. Two zones were selected meeting the LP4Y criteria (slums with a high rate of young people, little employment, no NGOs already doing the same thing, safe zone…) : Naaba, in the eastern Beirut Tariq el Jdideh, in the south of the city The LP4Y volunteers met with around 30 organisations, including foundations, associations and companies, to develop partnerships and spread the word about the LP4Y project in Lebanon. Among these partners, UNICEF, ACTED or the Red Cross confirmed location and needs.

Para 1.51 | LP4Y, England is a member of the LP4Y Alliance, a federation of 23 organisations in 13 countries. The Alliance has three missions: ►To advocateon behalf of excluded Youth in these 13 countries; ►To accompanythe Youth towards social and professional integration through entrepreneurship; ►To encourageinitiatives that will enhance Youth inclusion and facilitate knowledge sharing between the different members. The Alliance is the guiding arm and direct support to all established and new LP4Y organisations. LP4Y organisations support and advocate the decent inclusion of thousands of Young people and their families in 57 programs in South East Asia, South Asia, Middle East, Europe and America. | CENTERSare located close to or in urban areas of extreme poverty called slum area offering 12 months residential training program to empower excluded Young adults (Young mothers, migrants, orphans, differently abled, school drop-outs, etc.) with necessary life and soft skills to make them autonomous, independent and self-confident to join a decent job market. Through Professional Training for Entrepreneurs, a unique learning method based on entrepreneurship and positive approach, the Youth learn how to manage a small business, work in a team, take initiative, assume responsibilities, solve problems, manage a team, manage a project and meet deadlines. They improve their English, communication and IT skills. They are accompanied by the coaches (volunteers) in their career path and when they finish the program, they are able to find and keep a decent job. They receive a weekly allowance, Life Project Money, that enables them to follow the training on a daily basis while sustaining their basic needs and saving for the first steps of their professional life. At the same time, LP4Y develops an integration ecosystem composed of companies, NGOs, local administrations, and universities. These all favour Youth inclusion via professional exposure of the Youth and adaptation of HR policies enabling employment of Youth with low educational background. ● GREEN VILLAGEoffers educational residential programs similar to Life Project Centre for youths that have been relocated from the slum to new rural areas away from all infrastructures. It is a fast track 3 months program with a focus on practical professional training promoting natural technology and lifestyle and aiming at initiating a new economy in these areas to be developed by local communities. |
